Welcome to Crossroad to Victory Web Site.
Each day brings us closer to the event
commonly called the ‘Rapture of the Church (Body of Christ)’. Who will go to meet
Jesus Christ the Son of God and who will be left behind to experience the horror
of the Great Tribulation? Those who place there entire life - heart, soul and spirit
in the faith that Jesus is the way the truth and the life will be the ones who meet
Jesus in the air. We will not be perfect on this earth but we will be perfect when
seen by God when we trust and live with His Son each moment of our lives. When we
fall in sin we seek His forgiveness and power through the Holy Spirit to get back
up again. We change our minds from the sinful flesh and seek His path to gain eternal
life. Show love by surrendering to Him for only the love He gives us is worthy to
give to others in a lasting way. Be born again of the Spirit of God and rest each
day in His loving arms.
Dear Grace Church,
Jesus taught us to love one another. He didn’t just talk about it; Jesus demonstrated it. And now we are called to reflect His love to each other. There’s a section of Scripture found in Philippians 2 that tells us about Christ’s birth. Since it’s not found in one of the Gospels we don’t typically think of it as a Christmas passage. These verses teach us about the incarnation. The incarnation is a fancy word used to describe what happened when God became man. The incarnation is a challenge for us to reflect the Light of Christ through our lives to the world. You say, how?
01) Our ATTITUDE should reflect Christ attitude (Philippians 2:5-7). Paul makes the point that the incarnation of Christ required Him to put His own interests aside and to make Himself nothing. He was born in a cave where animals went for shelter, not exactly the Ritz Carlton. Very humbling!
02) We are to THINK of the interests of others before our own (Philippians 2:3). During this holiday week one of the most difficult things to do is to think of others ahead of ourselves. Why? Because we all want presents for ourselves. We are concerned whether the biggest present under the tree has our name on it. Jesus came to one of the most humble settings and He put the interest of all of us above His own.
03) “Shine like STARS in the universe” (Philippians 2:14-15). Paul is referencing the way the Israelites acted when God led them out of the bondage of Egypt and they complained every step of the way. If we are not careful, we can allow Christmas to become a time of complaining rather than joy. Don’t complain about what you can’t afford to give or what you receive or don’t receive. Refuse to complain! Refuse to argue! And realize how blessed you are, Christmas is about Jesus being the Light of the World—Not you get or don’t get.
